What is Reiki ?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is a spiritual practice, founded by Dr. Mikao Usui in 1922. It is based on the principle that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us via ‘chakras and meridians and this, is what causes us to be alive.  Low life ‘force energy’ is a sign of sickness, depression, stress and alternatively, high ‘life force energy’ reflects a happy, healthy, strong, confident and an active person. This inexhaustible, universal “life force” spiritual energy can be used to induce a healing effect. Reiki thus involves the transfer of energy from practitioner to patient to enhance the body’s natural ability to heal itself through the balancing of energy.

Reiki is safe to practice. It is a holistic therapy which brings about healing on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. It is simply a vibrational energy technique that helps to balance, harmonize (fine tune) and restore our energy systems, which finally catalyses our body’s natural function to heal physical disorders and diseases.

A third level attunement gives one the power to attune others to the energy and generate masters similar to oneself.
